Colorado Springs is perhaps best known for its scenic nature parks and locations. What you may not have known is that they should also be well known for having some of the most unique and well-regarded restaurants in the southwest. Take a look at this list of some of the best Colorado Springs restaurants.

Garden of the God’s Market and Cafe

With a name that this bold and powerful, this restaurant has incredibly high standards of living up to. This international restaurant is vegetarian, vegan, and gluten sensitivity friendly. Garden of the God’s Market and Cafe has plenty of options for lunch, dinner, and even breakfast! Perfect for even the pickiest of eaters, each delicacy is tailored to be a grab-and-go meal. You can also pick up freshly baked pastries and desserts or request a custom order. Stay awhile and sit down in their café for a great breakfast or lunch.

Urban Egg a daytime eatery

This popular breakfast and brunch spot received a spot on The Gazette Best of the Springs 2020. They are known for having a loving staff and creative dishes. All the pancakes can be made gluten-free and a multitude of other dishes on their menu. If you’re looking to have a bit of a fun time at brunch, The Urban Egg Eatery also has signature drinks, including a Bloody Mary and an Organic Morning Margarita! Their dishes are far from ordinary and will have your taste buds singing a joyful tune. 

Slice 420

It won’t be a great visit to Colorado Springs if you don’t engage in something that references 420. This pizza spot has been deemed the best pizza in Colorado Springs. This pizzeria also made it on The Gazette’s list as well as Springs Magazine and The Best of the Springs. What makes it so great? Aside from its tasty and extensive variety in pizzas and calzones, its customers and the family that built this restaurant are credited as what makes Slice 420 such an amazing restaurant.

The Rabbit Hole

Unlike the rest of the restaurants on this list, The Rabbit Hole offers a sleek nightlife experience. This underground restaurant offers divine cuisine, fun cocktails, and a haunting aura. The Rabbit Hole offers internationally and seasonally changing small plates in its Gothic atmosphere. The Rabbit Hole was also voted best of 2019 gold for best upscale bar, best happy hour menu, best overall bar, along with many other accolades for being a great bar and restaurant. Make sure you get there at a good time as it is only open from 4 PM to 11 PM seven days a week.

Mountain Shadows

This quaint restaurant is described as a down-home breakfast and lunch diner. It is “where the locals eat,” and as soon as you arrive at the location of this restaurant, you will see that it was once a cozy family dwelling. This restaurant hardly needs any of my praise…Guy Fieri dined here, and of course, he only visits the tastiest and unique of places!

If you haven’t noticed by now, the majority of the restaurants on this list have unique names. The names are as interesting and fun as the food is good.
