Utah is one of the best hubs in the world for outdoor adventure. From water sports to winter sport activities, the exploration is endless.

At this point, many of the top places of interest for visitors remain primarily around the Mighty Five but Utah also offers some of the best state parks in the United States. Check out these amazing state parks offer plenty of scenic landscapes and many adventures.

Snow Canyon State Park

As previously stated the Southwest has no shortage of red sandstone formations. They’re certainly a little bit of irony in the fact that this place is named Snow Canyon because the most popular feature of this park is of course the Red Rock scenery.

Among the features that make this place so special is the 16 miles of hiking trails within the park. One of the more popular trails is the Whiptail trail which is very popular for hikers, bikers, and joggers. Relatively short and easy release of 3 miles in and 3 miles back on a paved road a 500-foot elevation gain. 

Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park

While the primary attraction for this State Park in Utah is the threading of ATVs, Coral Pink Sand Dunes is quite the attraction for outdoor enthusiasts. Located near Kanab, Utah, this park is roughly 3730 acres large with more than two thousand acres of sand open to off-roading. It would be an understatement to not describe the popularity of this place for ATV riders. However, don’t let that stop you from visiting this magnificent State Park in Utah. Coral Pink Sand Dunes offers plenty of outdoor adventures. 

Sand Hollow State Park

If you have ever imagined what it may look like when red rock formations in the Southwest meet water, this place may be what you’ve envisioned. Sand Hollow State Park is a very popular scenic State Park located near St George Utah. Moreover, the park also has some great ATV trails. 

One of the more alluring features of the park is the water reservoir which allows for great swimming and boating activities such as water skiing. 

Kodachrome Basin State Park

Much of Utah is photo-worthy, but as an adventure, Kodachrome Basin State Park is a must-add destination to most people’s list. Surrounded on three sides by the Grand Staircase- Escalante National Monument, it must be good to be stuck in the middle of a destination that can be described as scenic poetry. 

This State Park offers scenic views, possibly the most highlight-worthy of the state park is the panorama loop trail that is 3.5 miles. In terms of degrees of difficulty, this trial can be rated as easy to moderate. With slight slopes, there are points of the hike that climb high enough to offer a scenic view that is quite wonderful.
