In an effort to support local businesses, we have decided that we’ll be eating at local restaurants in the Southwest Region as often as we can and during various trips we take. On Tuesday morning last week, I went with my girlfriend to the Range Cafe for breakfast. Although I have eaten here a few times over the years, it was my girlfriends first time. We both had the day off so it was a great way to start the day and it was perfect because there is a Range Cafe location right down the street from where we live. We were greeted by a very friendly host when we arrived and the food came out quickly. I was craving a breakfast burrito, but also some pancakes, so that’s exactly what I ordered. The burrito comes with a side of home potatoes and beans with cheese. Although there is a little up-charge to add bacon to the burrito, it is completely worth it. Personally, I don’t really like red chile, so I had it smothered with green chile. The Range Cafe is a great local restaurant for breakfast in New Mexico that has 6 locations. If you are visiting Albuquerque, I definitely recommend stopping here.
One of the most highly recommend dishes served at the restaurant is the Huevos Rancheros, which has been voted as best in the city a few time over the years.
