With two locations in Albuquerque, customers can expect an truly New Mexican dinning experience with traditional New Mexico foods, homemade desserts, live music and an consummate atmosphere at El Patron Restaurant and Cantina

When dinning at either El Patron location expect the traditional New Mexican plates of burritos, carne adovada and stuffed sopapillas served with the staple New Mexico food chile.

During our visit, we started with a small order of nachos and one of their signature margaritas. The small order of nachos is a perfect choice of an appetizer for larger groups, while for a dining for two, might be a little bit too much food and could have been the meal for the night. We added chicken as well. Possibly one of the best nacho spots in the greater Albuquerque area.

For the main course, I ordered a special they were running for the evening which was their carne adovada chile renos, which was served with beans and Spanish rice, which was so filling, I barely stayed awake at the table.

Overall the dinning experience, was pleasurable and the atmosphere was as authentic New Mexico as a restaurant experience could be. Menu prices range from $9 to $18 per dish, but portion sizes are massive making perfect for leftovers to take home.
