One of the top lunch time places to eat in Albuquerque, New Mexico is Relish Deli. Located at 8018 Menaul Blvd NE, Relish Deli is another local favorite that has won many best of the city awards over the years and generally has a very busy lunch crowd. Relish Deli offers many sandwiches, soups, and salads.
Describing the sandwiches as gourmet would do justice to how amazing this place really is. Sure sandwiches are simple and easy, but for some reason this place does an amazing job at it.
Generally, when I get a chance to stop in for quick bite to eat, usually I get their Cubano Especial. The sandwich has chipotle roasted pork, honey ham, swiss cheese, and chipotle mayo pressed into a baguette. It’s also comes with a side of your choice between chips, soup, potato salad, or coleslaw. The side portions for the potato salad and coleslaw are massive.
For this most recent visit, I stirred away from my usual order to try something new. I tried the Lobo Beef Sandwich, which features roast beef, jack cheese, tomatoes, avocados, green chile, and housemade lobo mayo, which is served on a toasted alpinette. Sticking to what you like isn’t always the best choice and branching out can be risky, but hey it paid off. The Lobo Beef might be my new go to.
